Get the next best thing through the majesty of music with Peelander-Z. Self-described as a Japanese super-action comic band, suffice it to say Peelander-Z likes to do things a little differently. Catch these kooky cast of characters as they put on another awesome show at Walters on April 25 with today’s deal of a regularly $12 ticket for just $6.

Drawing inspiration from a Japanese style of music known as Visual Kei, which consists of bands that are mainly men and mainly dress up like girls and ‘80s hair bands pretending to be from the future, Peelander-Z claims to be from planet Peelander, section Z and that there costumes are actually their skin. Peelander Yellow usually dons a banana or yellow M&M outfit while Peelander Red typically dons Indian headdresses and a long robe with dragon wings. Peelander Blue doesn’t like to be messed around with so he wears both a boa and championship wrestling belt. Audience participation is a must at these wild shows and necessary tasks sometimes include banging on pots, reading cue cards and playing the band members’ instruments when they don’t feel like it.
