The Denver Zoo will bring you face-to-face with exotic animals and take you deep into their worlds in ways you have never before experienced through their nationally recognized naturalistic habitats. At the zoo, you will discover the deep inner heartbeat of the jungle, the lush vitality of the tropical rain forest, the wild adventure of the African Savanna and the icy beauty of the Arctic north. Current special exhibits include the Toyota Elephant Passage, grizzly-infested Bear Mountain, the lion-filled Predator Ridge and Primate Panorama, which features seven acres of monkeys and apes. This is all in addition to the sprawling permanent exhibits, which include 144 endangered species and three species that are sadly extinct in the wild.
