While a cocktail party in the middle of a rainforest or safari sounds like an exciting venture, when the lions and other big cats decide they want to join the party, it may cause more then just a bit of disturbance. Hosted by the very hospitable staff and animals at the Dallas Zoo, Brew at the Zoo offers the opportunity to taste over 50 types of beer from around the globe while enjoying great live music. This inaugural Dallas Observer event features an exciting evening filled with plenty of beer, food, live music and animal antics. The live music will be provided by throwback sensation, The Spazmatics and New Orleans funk-jazz institution, The Rebirth Brass Band. Because you can’t have Brew at the Zoo without ice-cold beers, the event, presented by Molly Maguire’s Ale House & Eatery, will feature a dizzying selection of domestic, international and local craft beers. Three-ounce samples of all the beer options are included in the ticket price. Should all that dancing, drinking and animal impersonating have you feeling a bit peckish, the event will also feature tasty eats available for purchase on-site from area restaurants like Hooters, Genghis Grill, Pizza By Marco and Holy Grail.
