Additional Information
Any restaurant that has "home" in its name is surely bound to treat you right. And while sushi may not conjure up memories of your mom in the kitchen, wouldn't it be nice if it did? Settle in at Zip Sushi & Izakaya (formerly known as Zip Fusion) with today's deal and get $30 worth of sushi and small plates for just $15.
"Zip" means "home" in Korean and is the inspiration behind the second high-energy restaurant opened by Jason Ha, an engaging young Korean entrepreneur. Described as "unique Asian-California fusion with soul," Zip Sushi & Izakaya uses fresh California-grown ingredients year-round, whenever possible. Ha brings inspiration from his former Korean home which he describes as the "Italy of Asia" since it is also a peninsula rich in fish, seafood and fresh produce. This is reflected in the healthy, artistic sushi and Pan-Asian meat, seafood and vegetable dishes prepared for each guest. Order the specialty dish, Albacado, which is thinly sliced avocado wrapped around seared Albacore with Unagi sauce and don't miss out on the highly recommended, award-winning Seaweed Salad.
The vibrant double front restaurant space features a performance kitchen and cozy patio, packed well after midnight. Enjoy amazing drinks from the fully stocked bar that includes hits like the the whimsical Whiskey Back and Soda, and sexy Soju-tinis (affordable, smooth but strong South Korean drink known as Asian vodka), which is sure to delight the taste buds and expand your horizons...as well as a full array of sakes, western wine and Korean beers. As the drinks pour, take advantage of one of the three intimate, state-of-the-art karaoke rooms should your party become inspired!

"Not valid for specials or during happy hour." Does that mean it's not valid for Sashimi Special? Or Lunch Special? Or the $22.95 Sushi Bar AYCE Special Menu?
