Highlights

  • Taught by a certified instructor, Arapahoe Arms' basic pistol class is ten hours long and meets all the training requirements to apply for a Colorado Weapons Permit.
  • The classs includes a lecture session with your own personal copy of the NRA's Basics of Pistol Shooting ($20 retail value), a multiple choice exam and four hours of range time (regularly $72 if purchased separately) if you pass the exam with at least an 80 percent. If you don't make the required test scores, your instructor will meet with you one-on-one for further training.
  • Facilities are located in Englewood and students can use their own handgun or rent one from Arapahoe Arms for just $10. 
  • At completion of the program, you will be ready to apply for your weapons permit and take advantage of a $10 discount on a regularly $25 annual membership to the NRA.
